Belarus is a landlocked, gernerally flat country without natural borders. It occupies an area of 80,139 square miles, or slighltly smaller than the United Kingdom or the state of Kansas. Its neighbors are Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Ukraine.

Flag: The current flag of Belarus is a red and green flag with an ornimental pattern on the staff end. The current design was introduced in 2012 from a design that had been approved in 1995. The current flag is a modification of the 1951 flag that was used while the country was a republic of the Soviet Union. When they changed the flag they not only took that the soviet union insignia off but changed the pattern colors from white on red to the current red on white.
